Have We Met? is a seven part, doppelganger story of mystery and intrigue.  I was asked to create a series of illustrations to accompany each part of the short story. Heavy line work and fine detailing were used as a style motif to reference Edward Gorey.

I had the pleasure of creating some hand-lettered, in-store artwork for my local lululemon. I was told "do whatever you want" -best brief ever! I pulled messages from their company manifesto, illustrated a pattern based on each message and incorporated pieces of scanned wood. The final posters were 24in. x 36in.

Forward-thinking messages, puns and funny thoughts all take shape through hand-drawn sketches in the Limited Edition version of Sketchbook Project. This time all 5000 participating artists were featured in a printed book.

The Sketchbook Project, put on by Art House Co-op invites artists and non-creatives alike to register for a sketchbook, choose a theme, fill their book with whatever they like and mail the book back to Art House Co-op. These books are collected and become part of a traveling exhibition through the US and across the globe. Finally the sketchbooks are house at the Brooklyn Art Library in New York where they are permanently on public display.

This piece explains how statistical data and simulation modeling are used to estimate the need for certain physicians in relation to population health needs. The audience for this poster was mainly made up of physicians, simple references were made to their daily work; cream folder/tabs, scripts, highlights and notations. The 4ft. x 6 ft. poster was presented at the American Association of Medical Colleges Conference, held in Washington, DC.

After some time chatting, ​my coworker and I realized we had accumulated a number of doodles and illustrations simply done for fun. In an effort to put them to good use, we enrolled in an 8-week water-based screen printing course. The last two classes were free work periods, where we both went mad on graphic tees. 

Wordmark and branding applied to promotional piece for printer, displaying capabilities of Heat Label Transfer technology. Printed on transparent and opaque substrates.

This was my first submission for Sketchbook Project 2011. Participation in this project came at a time where loose sketches and humour were needed most. This project was so much fun that I continue to participate every year.

Six Word Story Every Day invites creatives to explore language and typography through creating a six-word story. The work featured on the website was really diverse and a great reference for typography and lettering. My submission, "Hard work can't send you backwards" plays with loose lettering to form a human brain.

’76 Magazine sheds light on up and coming ethnic youths within the arts and culture sector in Toronto. The magazine combines a traditional grid structure with modern typographic treatments and bold photography to create a publication as unique as the talent it profiles.  

Soca Tempo chronicles the evolution of Soca and Calypso music from its inception during early Carnival to the entity it has become today. An airy grid layout plays against distressed photography accented by bright bold flourishes. 

​Is there a place for forward-thinking public messages that aren’t attached to corporate motives? The TRY campaign aims to encourage youths to simply believe in themselves enough to try. Colourful messaging is at the base of this campaign and takes on both a large and small scale application (buildings, public transportation, stickers, buttons etc.) in an attempt to reach youths through a graffiti-like aesthetic.

I love good eats. What better way to express this than through a placemat. Doodles of everything edible come together to form a fun place setting in this hand made and hand drawn placemat.

​The design of annual reports calls for an honest representation of statistical data while simultaneously enticing potential shareholders. Charts, graphs and informational data take on a stronger visual presence allowing for clarity and ease of reviewing company information.

For The Love of Offset called for artists to combine their talents and offset them onto a found object. This project uses photography and hand lettering to tell a story of beauty and brains. The imagines were printed onto pages from old, used books further enhancing the notion of intelligence and good looks. This project was exhibited at the For The Love Of Offset exhibition in Dublin, Ireland.
